From Mass to the Mountain takes you to eastern Panama where decades of government corruption and neglect have impoverished the region. But thanks to the tireless efforts of one Capuchin Friar to build infrastructure, protect watersheds, and conserve the rainforest, life is looking up for the locals.

Capuchin Friar Fr. Wally Kasuboski and the directors, Kurt Sensenbrenner and Colin Sytsma, will attend the screening and conduct a Q&A afterward.

Capuchins’ Run Walk for the Hungry

Join the Capuchin friars as we walk or run for the hungry at Polish Fest. This is the 12th year for the event whose proceeds feed the hungry through Capuchin Community Services’ two locations: St. Ben’s Community Meal and House of Peace. The $30 run ($20 for children) and $25 walk ($15 for children) registration fee includes entrance into Polish Fest and free return to Polish Fest all weekend. Register by June 4 and receive the early bird discount. 

Solanus Casey Center’s Nourishing the Soul Pasta Fellowship Dinner

You're invited to the Nourishing the Soul Pasta Fellowship Dinner on Saturday, June 24, starting at 4 PM with Mass at the St. Bonaventure Monastery Chapel. Mass will be followed by a pasta dinner, catered by Capuchin Soup Kitchen Catering.

The Life and Spirituality of Fr. Solanus Casey

On Saturday, Aug. 12, Capuchin Fr. Martin Pable will continue our 60th Anniversary of Remembering Fr. Solanus series with his presentation: The Life and Spirituality of Fr. Solanus Casey. We will begin at Noon with a simple lunch and conclude by 2:30 PM. Please RSVP.

45th SOCK (Support Our Capuchin Kitchen) Dinner

The 45th annual SOCK (Support Our Capuchin Kitchen) dinner will be held at Cobo Center’s Grand Riverview Ballroom, Friday, October 27, 5:30-9 PM, immediately followed by the Afterglow. The Capuchin Soup Kitchen is pleased to announce that John C. Carter, Region Manager for Chase’s Middle Market Commercial Banking business in Michigan, will be our 2017 chairperson for the 45th SOCK dinner.
