Bringing Faith and Education to Rural Ethiopia

A gift that transforms lives

In Hosanna, Ethiopia, our Capuchin brothers are answering a vital call–providing both spiritual care and education to rural communities that need them most. In these areas, where faith and learning are often out of reach, they have become pillars of hope, ensuring children receive the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a brighter future.

Holy Saviour Catholic School: A Lifeline for Families

More than a decade ago, our Ethiopian Capuchin brothers made a bold commitment: to build a friary, church, and school to serve the people of Hosanna. Today, Holy Saviour Catholic School is a reality, offering quality education where it was once unavailable. Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, this school has already changed countless lives.

With your support through the Solanus Mission Association (SMA), we have successfully completed the first two phases of this project—covering 30% of the funding needed to make this dream a reality, including:

✅ Built classrooms for grades 1-4
✅ Expaned classrooms for grades 1-8
✅ Built a science and IT lab
✅ Opened a library to expand learning horizons
✅ Supported faith-based education rooted in local culture
✅ Expanded access to quality schooling for even more children

Join Us in Completing This Mission

There is still more work to be done. Your gift today will help fund the next phase at Holy Saviour Catholic School, including:

  • Building a new school building for grades 9-12
  • Opening natural sciences facilities for biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics
  • Establishing a dedicated space for social sciences: history, language, literature and faith formation

We need to raise $367,506.57 to make phase III a reality.

You can make a lasting impact today. Every donation brings us closer to completing this mission of faith, education, and hope for the children and families of Hosanna.
