A Prayer

June 6, 2018

St. Norbert

2 Timothy 1:1-3, 6-12; Mark 12:18-27

 

God of the living,   

   not of the dead,

You are the Source of all grace, mercy and peace. 

Help me,

    each day,

    to stir into a flame the gifts that you have given to me. 

Fill me with your power and love. 

Awaken in me courage and self-control. 

With the aid of your strength,

    help me to bear my share of hardships for the sake of the gospel. 

I ask this through Jesus Christ, your Son,

    who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

    one God forever and ever.  Amen.—JC
