Interfaith prayer service reflects on MLK’s testament of hope

Milwaukeeans will join to remember the Gospel-rooted commitment to social justice of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at a special interfaith prayer service on Saturday, January 19 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Vel R. Phillips Avenue and Brown Street. A musical prelude will take place at 1:30 pm followed by the service at 2:00 pm. The prayer service will be led by Milwaukee Archbishop Jerome Listecki, with Dominican Sister Patricia Rogers, OP, executive director of the Dominican Center, giving a lecture on Martin Luther King’s Testament of Hope.

A reception with light refreshments will follow the program.
