Blessed Solanus Feast Day & Novena

Blessed Solanus Casey, Detroit’s beloved Capuchin priest on the road to sainthood in the Catholic Church, will be remembered at the Solanus Casey Center with a nine-day novena beginning on July 22, 2019, culminating with the Feast of Solanus Casey on July 30, 2019. Each day of the novena of prayer focuses on a particular area of Blessed Solanus Casey’s life and ministry. All events are free and open to all.

Attention young adults aged 18-35: Solanus Casey Center’s Simple Service Saturdays take place the 1st Saturday every month. We begin at 9 AM with a prayer at the tomb of Blessed Solanus and blessing followed by a service opportunity at a Capuchin ministry site. Concludes at Noon with a simple lunch. St. Clare Study Day

The Solanus Casey Center and St. Bonaventure Secular Franciscans invite you to our St. Clare Study Day. Join us for a Franciscan day of study and reflection on the life and spirituality of St. Clare of Assisi. Capuchin Bro. Bill Hugo, co-author of, Studying the Life of Saint Clare of Assisi: A Beginner's Workbook, that accompanies Clare of Assisi: Early Documents, will facilitate discussion and study on this vital saint in the Franciscan tradition. The cost of the day is a $20 suggested donation. Copies of the source material and workbook will be available for purchase at the Solanus Casey Center gift shop at a 30% discount when purchased together.

26th Annual Benefit on the Bay

Join the Capuchin friars for the 26th annual Benefit on the Bay! Enjoy a beautiful evening on Friday, August 23, at MacRay Harbor on Lake St. Clair. Jay Towers, from FOX 2 Detroit and 100.3 WNIC, will again serve as the event’s Master of Ceremonies. Popular speed artist, Dave Santia, will be creating portraits as a live auction item. 100% of the event’s proceeds benefit the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.

You're invited to the 28th Annual Blessed Solanus Casey Souperbowl benefit on Sunday, October 27, from Noon - 7pm. All-you-can-eat soup, bread, and desserts...donated by metro Detroit's finest restaurants and bakeries. Continuous entertainment provided by Detroit's best Irish musicians and step dancers. Proceeds benefit the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.

2nd Annual Motown Revue

Join us for an evening of fun and fellowship! Entertainment includes a live band, dancing, musical selection and the Capuchin Soup Kitchen Choir! Early Bird tickets are $70, tickets after August 20 are $75. Your ticket includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine. Proceeds benefit the Solanus Casey Center.
